2019 Ford Territory Revealed

Ford has a reputation of developing highly capable SUV trucks. One of their most outstanding models is the Territory. Inspired by Australian terrain, this rugged truck has received an upgrade and is bound for release as the 2019 Ford Territory. The new 2019 Ford Territory has a brand new front fascia and its bumper is divided into 3 sections. The middle contains an elongated air-intake vent. It is skirted by a pair of upright vents. The lower sections flows smoothly into the grille. This is another part that has received a major upgrade. The new grille has a textured honeycomb design. With a pentagonal shape and the Ford insignia in its middle, it provides an imposing feature on the new crossover SUV.

The headlights have LED technology and are sloped forward. As a result, the car has an aggressive yet aerodynamic shape. Its hood has a clamshell design. In addition to that, it guides the eye up the windshield. The wide expanse of glass is bordered by a pair of black frames that elongate right into the top of the crossover SUV. They proceed to form a roof rack.

Its side mirrors feature a black lining on their lower sections. Moreover, the car has sculpted doors and substantial ground clearance as well. Available with standard 18 inch wheels, its wheel wells are lined with black hardened plastic. This feature is maintained on its rear bumper as well. With an LED rear illumination bar, the new Ford crossover is ideal for urban and country driving.

This new SUV’s interior has also received a number of improvements. Its dashboard has been completely overhauled. The 3-spoke steering wheel has also been redesigned so as to have some Ford-spec facilities. With spoke-mounted buttons, it allows the driver to take control over the various systems of the crossover SUV.

The center stack is equipped with an 8 inch LCD display that is sandwiched between some air conditioning vents. Underneath it are a collection of buttons that you can use to control its various systems such as the cruise control, voice-controlled infotainment and autonomous emergency braking. A centrally-located shifter allows you to toggle through its gears.

A collection of connectivity options are provided as standard within this SUV. It facilitates a Wi-Fi Internet hotspot and digital radio as well. The new car has a pair of USB ports and an SD card slot for multimedia delivery. Moreover, it has rain-sensing wipers made of Titanium and Emergency braking assistance.

The new 2019 Ford Territory can seat 5 people comfortably on 2 rows. You can get a third row of seats as an option. In addition to that, it is available with various upholstery materials including fabric and leather. They are available in multiple colors such as brown, beige, white, ivory and navy. Features such as wood grain accents and a retractable glass roof are also available as optional extras. Overall, its cabin combines comfort and SUV practicality.

Engine and Specs

This new SUV is available with 4 different engines. One of these is a 4.0 liter, in-line 6 cylinder engine. The power-plant is capable of achieving 235 horsepower and 380Nm of torque at 3250 rpm. The 2019 Ford Territory is also available with a gas-hybrid, Miller-cycle, inline-6 T engine. These engines both run on petrol. Drivers can also get the car with a 2.7 liter V6-T diesel engine. The most eco-friendly option is the full electric plug-in version.

All the engines distribute power using a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) system and make use of a Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) system. Furthermore, they are mated to a 4 speed, automatic sequential transmission. The SUV is also available with a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox as an option. Thanks to its engine setup, this SUV can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under 10 seconds.

Release date, Price

Drivers can expect the 2019 Ford Territory to hit showrooms in early 2019. The base trim of this car will be available at a price tag of $30,360. With the Premium trim and extra options, the SUV will retail at the higher price of $54,890.
