2019 Volkswagen Touareg Spied

Volkswagen released the current Touareg back in 2010 and since then they really didn’t change much about it. Unlike most of their other cars at the time, the car continued to use a rather old architecture. Well, it looks like this is going to change with the future 2019 Volkswagen Touareg. So far they haven’t released much information about it. However, we have seen the camouflaged test mule and we have to say, the car definitely looks impressive. For starters, the car will get a new platform, new engines and a brand new look. Over its predecessor, the new model should feel a lot more like a premium car. This should allow VW to finally get a better share of the market for themselves.

2019 Volkswagen Touareg Review, Rumors

The VW will be the car aimed at people who are looking for comfort over performance.

Like we said, the new Touareg is going to be based on VW’s much newer MLB Evo architecture. They will use the short wheelbase version of the platform meaning the car will share its underpinnings with the Cayenne and the Q5. Ferrari 488 GTO is here…

However, unlike these two, the VW will be the car aimed at people who are looking for comfort over performance.

The base model will have a softer suspension setting than the rest. The higher end versions of the car on the other hand will use an air-ride system with different levels of adjustment.

It should hit the market sometime in the second quarter of 2018.

Despite the fact VW didn’t say a word about it, we managed to see the fully uncovered model not that long ago. Considering the car looked ready for production, it is safe to assume its reveal is not that far.

In fact, it should hit the market sometime in the second quarter of 2018. Its price will likely be nearly identical to the ongoing generation.
