2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport Review

The Land Rover marque is well known for designing and producing Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) that provide great handling on-road and confident performance in off-road situations. This heritage has been maintained in the 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport. The new car has performance dimensions, some new styling and dramatically improved capability on and off the tarmac. Here is more about it.

Exterior Redesign

One of the new sections of the vehicle is its front fascia. The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport has a bold, new grille. Its front bumper is characterized by a trio of vents. The left and right most ones are upright and sit right above some vivid, horizontal LED foglights.

The middle vent is quite large and it provides ample air intake to the SUV’s engine. Its grille is horizontal as well. Narrow and situated high on the front fascia, it represents the marque’s leap into minimalist vehicle design. Its headlights are horizontal, narrow and wrap around its front edges. Not only do they have ample LED technology, they also contain the indicators within.

Its A-pillars are acutely angled and give the windshield some aerodynamic capability. The new SUV’s doors take up quite a large area of its side profile. This results in overall compact stability. Furthermore, the new SUV also has some LED indicators in its rear view mirrors.

The new Discover Sport has a sloping roofline that extends over the rear in a floating style. A mini spoiler is visible as well. The headlights are situated high on its rear end right under the rear window. This gives the tailgate ample room for the Land Rover logo and a license plate holder. The rear bumper contains red reflectors. In addition to that, the SUVs tailpipes are also located within cutlets. Sitting on 20 inch wheels, the new Discovery Sport is poised for speed, resilience and reliability.

Interior redesign

The new 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport has an updated, robust interior. Its 4 spoke steering wheel has some aluminum accents along the outer edges of the spokes. Thanks to this design, the new SUV fits in with modern trends. It has some tactile buttons on the left and right spokes too.

By tapping on them, the driver can easily manipulate the car’s numerous interior systems. The tachometer, mileage indicator and rev counter are presented through aluminum rimmed analog dials. A digital instrument cluster is however available as an option.

Right atop the center stack is an 8 inch LED screen. It provides the occupants with details about the cars entertainment, navigation and air conditioning settings. This screen is sandwiched between two pairs of air vents. Moreover, an array of buttons are located underneath.

With some designed for tapping and others for rotation, they facilitate extended, manual control over the car’s interior systems. The gear selector has been replaced by a rotary shifter. With a knurled, brushed aluminum edge, it enables the driver to pick a gear and suspension setup too.

This new Discovery Sport is upholstered entirely in leather. You can have the car with color options such as black, gray, navy, brown and beige. Contrast, twin needle-stitching is an option available for you. Furthermore, drivers have the option to pick LED moodlighting for the car along with multi-zone climate control. The new SUV can seat 8 people on 3 rows. It provides a comfortable cabin.
