2021 Kia Sorento Review

Ever since it was created, the crossover SUV gained mass appeal among drivers all over the world. One of the models which earned admiration and a strong following was the Kia Sorento. Its beautiful, proportionate body played a big part in providing admiration for the car. Kia has revitalized this winning model through a major update in form of the 2021 Kia Sorento. Here is all we know about it.

Exterior design

From the impression made through the potential renderings released by Kia, we can confidently conclude that the 2021 Kia Sorento is bigger than its predecessors. It is quite likely to be more muscular, taller and longer than the previous version. The unique, modern design is easily noticeable immediately from its front fascia.

The front bumper is highly likely to be split into 3 vents. The central vent will be lateral and serve the purpose of allowing maximum airflow into the engine bay. The new crossover is also highly likely to have LED fog lights tucked into vertical vents located on both ends of the front bumper.

Upon viewing the possible physical designs of the SUV, we predict that the grille will take up a major section of the front fascia. It will also have a special mesh characterized by chrome-tipped intersections. The grille is also likely to have a chrome border.

To stick with modern trends, the new Sorento is highly likely to have LED headlights. Moreover, we are confident that they will have a wraparound style. A special feature which will be unique and noticeable on this crossover is the clamshell hood. We presume that it will be sculpted so as to create ample space for the large engine.

From the side profile renderings which we have reviewed, this crossover is quite likely to be extensively sculpted. Also, the crossover SUV is most likely going to ride on 21-inch wheels. This means that it could have high ground clearance. In this case, it will need to have a sidestep for easier boarding and alighting.

Its rear section is expected to be just as sleek as the front. The tailgate is quite likely to have a spoiler. The reversing light is most likely going to be placed on this part as well. The taillights are also expected to contain LED technology. As is the trend with crossover SUVs, the rear bumper could also have a pair of reflectors. Overall, the new Sorento is likely to have an aggressive, sporty appearance.

There is ample competition between crossover manufacturers today. They are differentiating their specific models using luxury features and characteristics. This is exactly the case for the 2021 Kia Sorento.

From the pictures that have emerged depicting its cabin, this crossover SUV has a beautiful interior. It shows a combination of premium materials and ergonomic design. The steering wheel is elegantly built with 3 spokes and buttons on the upper pair. We presume that it will be upholstered in leather and feature wood trim as well.

Vehicle statistics such as the speed, rev count and mileage are most likely going to be presented on a 10-inch widescreen panel behind the steering wheel. At the upper section of the center stack, there is most likely going to be a touch-sensitive panel.

Through this unit, the driver and vehicle occupants will have a method through which they can manipulate the air conditioning, infotainment, and navigation. Through this system, occupants will also be able to connect their multimedia with the car using Android Auto, Apple CarPlay or Bluetooth.

The other option is a 3.3-liter V6 engine churning out 290 horsepower. We are confident that the V6 engine will be availed with the LX trim of this car.

Release Date, Price and Availability
